production
on the environment has intensified with industrialization throughout the 19th century and well into the
20th, coal, the dirtiest fossil fuel, drove the Industrial Revolution and left its
mark as a heavy cloud that darkened the skies over the industrial centers. With
the development of the gasoline, internal-combustion engine in the early 1900s
marked the beginning of the ascent of oil as the main source of energy in the
United States. Today the focus of natural resources have changed, they have now
become a focus for energy, the collection and sale of that energy from the
countries that have, to the ones that don't.
There is
much debate worldwide over natural resource allocations, this is partly due to
increasing scarcity and also because the exportation of natural resources is
the basis for many
economies particularly for the developing nations. The natural resources are
materials, which living organisms can take from nature for sustaining their life or any components of
the natural environment that can be utilized by man to promote his welfare is
considered as natural resources.
