Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle

Our best reserves of natural resources are being depleted rapidly because the usage of disposable products and packaging have been increased. Pennsylvanians recycled 4.7 million tons in 2004. This rate of use and disposal takes a particularly heavy toll on irreplaceable natural resources from our forests and mines.

Reprocessing used materials to make new products and packaging reduces the consumption of natural resources.
@By recycling over 1 million tons of steel in 2004, Pennsylvanians saved 1.3 million tons of iron ore, 718,000 tons of coal, and 62,000 tons of limestone.
@Through recycling newsprint, office paper and mixed paper, we saved nearly over 8.2 million trees.
@Recycling often produces better products than those made of virgin materials; for instance, the tin in "tin" cans is more refined (thus more valuable) after being processed for recycling.

Source reduction, preventing waste before it is generated, can further reduce the need for disposal and save more resources.

It has been proved that we waste a lot of natural resources by throwing out items every day. Is there a way that we can save some of these items and use them again?
- We can save natural resources by recycling the old, used natural resources. When we recycle we take old used natural resources to make new gifts.

- We could start a recycling program at school. We will start small by developing a plan to collect and recycle the aluminum cans from second grade students at lunch
-Be an Environmental Shopper and reduce, reuse, and recycle
If we take simple steps to save the natural resources it will affect some vast saving plans which may be implemented in future. And also our small step will encourage others to do so.
SO DON”T BE LATE!! HURRY, WHO KNOWS THE NEXT REVOLUTIONARY PERSON TO SAVE THE EARTH WILL BE U  !! =D> applause :) happy
